In September 2022, Ubisoft will end online and multiplayer services for 15 games.



Ubisoft plans to shut down multiplayer and online services for 15 games on September 1, 2022. These games include five Assassin's Creed games, Far Cry 3, Splinter Cell: Blacklist, Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, and more.


On that date, you also won't be able to install DLC for games like Assassin's Creed 3 (2012 Release) and Assassin's Creed Brotherhood.


Ubisoft wrote on its support page, "Closing the online services for some older games lets us use our resources to make sure that players of newer or more popular games have a great time."


Here is the full list of games and services that will be stopped.


You won't be able to play multiplayer, link your Ubisoft accounts, or use online features in Anno 2070 on PC.


Assassin's Creed II for the PC and the PS3: You won't be able to play with other people, link your Ubisoft accounts, or use online features.


Assassin's Creed III (2012 Release) PC: You won't be able to play with other people, link your Ubisoft accounts inside the game, or use online features. Also, you won't be able to install or get access to downloadable content (DLC).

You won't be able to play with other people, link your Ubisoft account to the game, or use online features on the PlayStation 3, Wii U, or Xbox 360.


You won't be able to play multiplayer, link your Ubisoft account to the game, or use online features in Assassin's Creed Brotherhood for PC. Also, neither installing DLC nor getting to it will be possible.

Assassin's Creed Liberation HD PC: You will be unable to link Ubisoft accounts in-game or use online features. Also, neither installing DLC nor getting to it will be possible.

Rayman Legends for PS3, Wii U, and Xbox 360: You won't be able to use online features or link your Ubisoft accounts in the game.


You won't be able to link your Ubisoft accounts or use online features in Silent Hunter 5 for PC.


Also, neither installing DLC nor getting to it will be possible.

Space-lovers


PC (HTC VIVE, Oculus): Since the game can only be played with other people, you will no longer be able to play it.


You won't be able to play multiplayer games, link your Ubisoft accounts in-game, or use online features in Splinter Cell: Blacklist for PC.

You won't be able to link your Ubisoft account to your PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 game or use online features.


You won't be able to use online features or link your Ubisoft accounts in ZombiU for Wii U.

It's important to know that the remastered versions of Far Cry 3 and Assassin's Creed 3 will not be shut down.
